Our 5-star rated turn-key service begins with mechanical consultancy at the house design phase (RIBA Stage 4). Besides reviewing or adapting the building structure to accommodate ducting, recommending the optimal size and location for MVHR plant with future maintenance and fire safety in mind. We also review and help mitigate any overheating, air quality, and/or acoustic risks before you finalise your building design. Common problems that can be expensive or impossible to resolve later during the build.
Our platinum service includes:
Our Platinum service offers complete peace of mind, includes far more than just MVHR design, supply, and install, and guarantees a successful outcome. And that’s important because you MVHR needs to run forever and air to breathe is your most important service.
VAT is zero-rated at source for supply and fit to new build properties.
Our gold service is the same our platinum service, only you manage the install. Just let us know what you need and when you need it. We provide phone and video support to your nominated installer and can send a qualified engineer to site to inspect your ductwork before it’s hidden behind plasterboard forever, along with any hums, rattles, leaks or other untraceable misdemeanours.
Regulation 7 states you must use registered, competent people for the build, and the ADF(1) completion certificate requires a signature and registration number from the same. If your installer is not NICEIC registered for domestic ventilation, then provided their install passes our inspection, Solarcrest will sign off that element of the work ahead of your second fix. Final signoff follows final system commissioning by our Airflow approved technician.
With our Gold service you still get the initial consultancy, 3D modelling and installable walk-through system design, design and product guarantees, complete ADF compliance certification, BC registration, support cloud setup and optional service contract.
Our Gold service typically costs 30% less than Platinum.
VAT is charged at the standard rate for all projects.
Our Silver service is similar to most other providers in the market. An indicative two-dimensional design based on the drawings available, and sufficient to produce a bespoke kit to suit the property. This guide includes suggested plant and duct runs, premium or budget MVHR unit options, and most importantly, the target air flow rates your commissioning engineer will need to achieve on completion. This service level is intended for those employing competent registered installers who are qualified to self-certify ADF compliance.
Our Silver service excludes mechanical consultancy, split material deliveries, installation or project management, system commissioning, set-up, BC registration, cloud setup, compliance, performance, or workmanship guarantees. The system will be designed to meet ADF ventilation rates only. This is effectively a supply-only trade sale with limited support.
Our Silver service typically costs 55% less than Platinum. Before you choose this option take a look at the MVHR regulations.
MVHR kits are prevalent in the market now and while intended for experienced MVHR installers, the option of buying materials at wholesale prices can be appealing when money’s tight. The question is, will there be enough of the right materials, and if so, will a DIY install really save money. Discovering a Part-F, L, O, or B compliance issue on site will soon wipe out any potential saving, and you could end up with a noisy system that blows hot air in Summer and cold air in Winter.
Our Bronze service is intended for registered ventilation professionals only who can self-certify ADF compliance. It’s effectively an over-the-counter trade sale similar to that from a builder’s merchant, only our kits are enhanced based on experience so you’re less likely to need expensive top-up components later.
No mechanical consultancy, design input, installation, or commissioning, just a pre-packed ‘trade kit’ with budget unit at wholesale prices. At these prices you’re on your own. Additional materials on request.
Our Bronze service typically costs 70% less than Platinum. Before you choose this option take a look at the MVHR regulations.
